Keith Johnson, 25, of Minnesota Avenue, has been charged with four counts of second-degree murder in this morning's shooting outside City Grill.

Eight people were shot in the incident. Additional charges are pending, Buffalo police said this afternoon.

The shooting spree occurred at around 2:30 a.m. outside the popular Main Street restaurant in the heart of the downtown Buffalo business district. At the time, several parties -- including a wedding celebration -- were being held inside the restaurant. Sources confirmed that the groom, Daniel Mackin, 30,  is among the dead; his wife was not injured.

Mackin and his wife lived in Texas but were originally from Buffalo. They were holding an informal gathering inside the restaurant ahead of a more formal celebration to be held today in honor of their wedding, which took place in Texas last year. Between 2:30 and 3 a.m., sources said, a fight broke out inside the restaurant.

A DJ turned the restaurant's lights on and ordered everyone out, according to sources, and the shooting happened shortly thereafter.
