|Police Sketch of Suspect In Racially Motivated Attacks on Black Men|
Detectives with the Leesburg Police Department have linked three recent attacks to a string of serial killings in Flint, Mich., and are also looking at a case in Toledo, Ohio, as possibly being related.
The Leesburg attacks, two stabbings and one with a hammer-type object, happened Aug. 3, 4 and 6 respectively.
At a press conference Aug. 9, Leesburg Police Chief Joe Price said the attacks seem to be race-based.
The Leesburg cases are very similar to 13 attacks in the Flint area between May and August, five of which resulted in deaths.
A similar case is also being reported from Toledo, Ohio.
“This is an extremely violent individual,” Price said.
