Mediaite-Russell Simmons Calls Bossip "The Black Glenn Beck"

Russell Simmons' website Global Grind, which describes itself as “the world according to hip-hop” is currently engaged in a war of words (and potentially lawsuits) with an African American gossip blog, Bossip. 

In an open letter today by the Global Grind Editorial Team, the site calls Bossip: “The Glenn Beck of black America.” And that’s just the beginning.

Bossip calls itself “the premier destination for African American popular culture and entertainment” – but that’s not really how Global Grind sees it. “Bossip is the GLENN BECK of black America,” they write today. “The wolf in sheep’s clothing. The cigar in Rush Limbaugh’s mouth. The crab at the bottom of the bucket!!!”
