The last known interview given by Jimi Hendrix has been released to mark 40 years since his death this weekend.
The tapes, made by former New Musical Express journalist Keith Altham, were recorded at the Hendrix's suite in the Cumberland Hotel a week before the guitarist choked to death after taking drugs.
To commemorate his death the Cumberland will open one of their rooms decorated in psychedelic fashion and filled with Hendrix memorabilia, including his waxwork borrow from Madame Tussaud's. After the weekend the room will be available for fans to book.
